Attendance Matters

Parents, Guardians, and Student Stakeholders,

We are seeing increased numbers of absenteeism at each school. Tis the season for sinus infections, strep, and various other ailments. If your child is absent, you should receive a message via ParentSquare. Please reply to that message to let school secretaries know about the absence.

If you do not get a ParentSquare absence notification , please contact your child’s school (or me) to inform them what is going with your child's absence.

Please let me know if I can assist with attendance issues or questions concerning attendance.

PSSD Shines Bright in Christmas Performances

The holiday season came alive across the Paris Special School District as students filled our schools with music, joy, and unforgettable performances. From our youngest learners to our accomplished middle school musicians, PSSD students truly shined brightly in their Christmas programs, showcasing not only their musical skills but also their confidence and holiday spirit.

Our holiday season began with the 2nd Grade program, FaLaLa Land, where students delighted families with cheerful songs, expressive movements, and festive energy. Their smiles and enthusiasm lit up the stage and reminded everyone that the magic of the season is often best seen through the eyes of children. For many students, this performance marked an important milestone—building confidence and learning the joy of performing for an audience. Thank you to Mrs. Angie Hawkins for your dedication in leading our music program at Rhea.

Adding a rich instrumental element to our celebrations, the Strings Program showcased remarkable talent and discipline. Students performed with poise beyond their years, highlighting the strong foundation of music education within PSSD. Their performance reflected hours of practice and a growing passion for instrumental music. Ms. Gioia Fazzini, your passion for leading our strings students is evident.

The Inman Chorus Concert filled KPAC with powerful vocals and expressive performances. Chorus students demonstrated musical maturity and strong harmonies, captivating the audience and reflecting their continued growth as vocal musicians. Thank you, Mrs. Jessica McLeese, for your leadership and dedication while leading our chorus at IMS.

The Inman Band Concert was equally impressive, as students showcased precision, tone, and outstanding musicianship. Their performance highlighted the dedication and discipline required of band members and illustrated how students continue to develop instrumental skills as they progress through their musical journey in PSSD. Shout out to Mrs. Lucy Presson for your energy and passion as you lead our IMS band students.

The 5th Grade Chorus Program continued the holiday excitement with beautiful musical selections. These students demonstrated impressive growth while delivering a performance that reflected both hard work and heart. Their fun performance had the audience smiling from ear to ear. Congratulations to Ms. Elizabeth Bennett for beautifully conducting your first performance in PSSD!

We are incredibly proud of the talent we have in PSSD and grateful for the teachers who work tirelessly to help our students shine.

IMS Beta Students Learn & Grow at Convention

Members of the Inman Middle School Beta Club recently attended the Beta State Convention at the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville, where students had an exciting and educational experience. Throughout the convention, students participated in a variety of competitions, sessions, and events that allowed them to learn valuable skills and gain insight into how they can better prepare and compete in future conventions.

The experience provided students with a clearer understanding of expectations, judging criteria, and strategies for success. By observing and participating alongside schools from across the state, Inman Beta members returned with new ideas, motivation, and goals as they look ahead to next year’s competitions.

A special congratulations goes to Melody N., who earned 1st place in the state in Hand Drawn Anime. Her achievement is an outstanding accomplishment and a testament to her creativity and talent. We are incredibly proud of Melody and all of our Inman Middle School Beta Club students for representing their school with excellence and determination.
