As we approach the winter season, we want to ensure that our families are informed about the procedures we have in place in the event of inclement weather. The safety of our students is our top priority, and we want to make sure you know how we will communicate any weather-related disruptions. 

If inclement weather causes a delay, cancellation, or early dismissal, you will be notified as early as possible through the following channels:

-Local Radio Stations (WMUF 1000 AM / WLZK 94.1 FM, WTPR 710 AM / WAKQ 105.5 FM, WTPR 101.5 FM)   
-Local TV Stations (Channel 2 WKRN, Channel 4 WSMV, Channel 5 Instant Alert Snow Watch, WPSD Paducah, WBBJ Jackson) 

We understand that weather-related changes can cause disruptions, and we will do our best to provide timely and accurate information to help families make the best decisions for their students. 

We strongly encourage all families to make plans in advance for situations when the weather may cause delays, cancellations, or early dismissals. It's helpful to have alternative arrangements for childcare, transportation, and pick-up in case of unexpected changes. Having a clear plan for your child in case of school closure or early dismissal will ensure that everyone can respond quickly and safely. 

It's important to remember that our community is served by two school systems. Rhea, Paris Elementary, and Inman are all part of the Paris Special School District. At times, Henry County School System may be closed while PSSD is in session. Please pay close attention to ensure you are getting the correct information regarding PSSD.
